Hat Size Guide — Find Your Perfect Fit

At Cover & Brim, we want your hat to feel as good as it looks. A proper fit is key to comfort, confidence, and wearing your style with ease. Use this guide to measure your head accurately before selecting a size.

  • Standard Hat Sizes

If you’re unsure or between sizes, sizing up is usually more comfortable than sizing down.

  • How to Measure Your Head

When purchasing a new hat, accurate measurement is essential for the best fit. Taking a moment to measure properly helps ensure your hat feels comfortable, secure, and easy to wear.

You will need a flexible measuring tape. If you do not have one, use a piece of string and measure it afterward with a ruler. For the most accurate result, you may also want to ask a friend to help.

    Step-by-Step:

    1. Place the tape around your head
Wrap the tape around where the hat will sit, just above your ears and across the middle of your forehead, fully circling your head.
    2. Keep it snug, not tight
Hold the tape firmly so it sits comfortably without pressing in.
    3. Measure and record
Record your measurement in inches or centimeters at the point where the tape meets.
    4. Choose your size
Use the size guide to select your hat size. If your measurement falls between sizes, we recommend choosing the next largest size for added comfort.

All Cover and Brim hats are sized. Use this guide to confidently select the correct size when placing your order.
