These Hat Rental Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your rental of hats from Cover & Brim (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By placing a rental order, you (“Renter,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Eligibility

To rent a hat from Cover & Brim, you must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement.

2. Rental Items

Rental hats are selected from our Ready-To-Wear collection. Rental availability is subject to inventory and scheduling at the time of booking.

3. Rental Period

The rental period begins on the start date selected at checkout and ends on the specified return date.

• Hats must be returned by the end of the rental period
  
• Late returns may result in additional charges
  
• Rental periods are selected prior to checkout and confirmed upon order placement
  

4. Rental Fees & Payment

• Rental fees are charged in full at the time of booking
  
• Fees are based on the selected rental duration
  
• Rental fees do not include applicable taxes or shipping, where applicable
  

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy (Rentals)

Free Cancellation Window

Cover & Brim offers a free one-hour cancellation window for all rental orders.

• Cancellations made within one (1) hour of placing a rental order receive a full refund, including shipping fees and any refundable security deposit
  

Cancellations After One Hour

• Cancellations made after the free one-hour cancellation window are subject to a one-day rental charge, plus applicable taxes
  
• Shipping fees become non-refundable after one hour
  
• Any remaining rental fees and the refundable security deposit will be returned after applicable charges are applied
  

Rental reservations temporarily remove inventory from availability and block calendar dates.

6. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be required for rental orders.

• The deposit helps protect against loss, damage, or failure to return the hat
  
• The deposit will be refunded once the hat is returned on time and in acceptable condition
  
• Deductions may be made for damage, excessive wear, late returns, or loss
  

7. Shipping & Returns

• Rental shipping details and timelines are provided at checkout
  
• Renter is responsible for returning the hat by the agreed return date using the provided instructions
  
• Failure to return the hat on time may result in additional rental charges
  

8. Condition of Hat

By accepting delivery of a rental hat, you acknowledge that the hat is in good rental condition.

• Normal wear (minor scuffs or marks that do not affect structure or function) is expected
  
• Excessive wear, structural damage, stains, tears, water damage, or missing components are not considered normal wear
  

Hats must be returned clean and free of excessive dirt, stains, or odors.

9. Damage, Loss, or Theft

If a rental hat is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear during the rental period, you agree to be responsible for repair or replacement costs, up to the full retail value of the hat.

This may include, but is not limited to:

• Replacement of design elements (feathers, leather bands, trims, accessories)
  
• Structural repairs
  
• Full replacement if repair is not possible
  

10. Cleaning Fees

If a hat is returned excessively dirty or damaged beyond normal wear, a cleaning or restoration fee may be charged in addition to repair or replacement costs.

11. Proper Use of Rental Hats

You agree to use rental hats responsibly and lawfully.

You may not:

• Alter, resize, customize, or modify the hat
  
• Apply adhesives, pins, tape, or permanent embellishments
  
• Expose the hat to excessive moisture, heat, or hazardous environments
  

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cover & Brim, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from your use, possession, or return of the rental hat.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which Cover & Brim operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Entire Agreement

These Hat Rental Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Cover & Brim regarding hat rentals and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

15. Changes to Rental Terms

Cover & Brim reserves the right to update or modify these rental terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued rental use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
