At Cover & Brim, every piece is thoughtfully crafted and handled with care. Because our hats are made-to-order and our rentals reserve limited inventory, our refund policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and respectful of the craftsmanship involved.

Custom Hats (Final Sale)

All custom hats are handcrafted specifically for each client and are considered final sale immediately upon purchase.

  • Custom hat orders cannot be canceled, refunded, or exchanged
  • Production may begin immediately after an order is placed
  • Natural variations in materials, finishes, and detailing are inherent to handcrafted work and are not considered defects

Buy Now Hats (One-Hour Free Cancellation)

All Buy Now hats are handcrafted to order.

  • Buy Now orders may be canceled within one (1) hour of purchase for a full refund, including the shipping fee
  • Once the one-hour cancellation window has passed, Buy Now hats become final sale
  • We do not accept returns or exchanges after the cancellation window

Rental Orders

Certain Ready-To-Wear hats are available for rental and are subject to the following refund terms:

Rental Cancellations Within One Hour

  • Rental orders canceled within one (1) hour of placement receive a full refund, including the shipping fee and any refundable security deposit

Rental Cancellations After One Hour

  • Cancellations made after the one-hour cancellation window are subject to a one-day rental charge, plus applicable taxes
  • Shipping fees become non-refundable after the one-hour cancellation window
  • Any remaining rental fees and the refundable security deposit will be returned after applicable charges are applied

Rental reservations temporarily remove inventory from availability and block calendar dates.

Shipping Fees

  • Shipping fees are fully refundable if an order is canceled within one (1) hour of purchase
  • After the one-hour cancellation window, shipping fees are non-refundable, regardless of order type
  • Shipping fees are non-refundable once an order has entered production, preparation, or shipment

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is damaged in transit or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and order details so we can review and determine an appropriate resolution.

Processing Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original form of payment. Please allow 5–10 business days for refunds to appear, depending on your payment provider.
