Custom Hats
Q: What types of custom hats do you offer?
A: We create handcrafted custom hats in a variety of styles, including cowboy hats, fedoras, wide brims, and more — all made from premium materials like 100% beaver felt and fine straw. Every hat is designed to suit your unique style and story.
Q: How does the custom hat process work?
A: It starts with a consultation (in-person or virtual). We discuss your style, inspiration, and measurements. From there, our artisans handcraft your hat using traditional techniques and the highest-quality materials. Once complete, you’ll either pick up your hat or have it shipped to you.
Q: How long does it take to make a custom hat?
A: Turnaround times vary depending on style and customization. Most custom hats
take several weeks from consultation to completion. We’ll discuss timing with
you during your initial consultation.
Q: Can I make changes after my hat is complete?
A: Minor adjustments can often be made, especially if the hat hasn’t shipped
yet. Once shipped, adjustments vary by design. Contact us with your question,
and we’ll help find a solution.
Hat Rentals
Q: Do you offer hat rentals?
A: Yes! Cover & Brim offers a rotating collection of unique hats available for rent. It’s a great way to elevate a look for a special event without buying a hat.
Q: How do rentals work?
A:
- Fill out our rental form with your preferences.
- Visit our showroom to select your hat and complete payment and deposit.
- Wear your hat and enjoy the event!
- Return the hat in good condition to receive your deposit back.
Rental hats must be picked up and returned in person at our showroom.
Q: Where do I pick up my rental hat?
A: Rentals are picked up in person at our Cover & Brim showroom. If you have questions about logistics or availability, contact us ahead of time.
Sizing & Fit
Q: How do I measure my hat size?
A: Use a soft measuring tape around your head where the hat will sit — just above your ears and across the mid-forehead. Keep the tape snug but comfortable. If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

A: If your hat doesn’t fit comfortably, reach out to us. Depending on the situation, we can help determine the best sizing solution or fitting adjustments.
Orders & Shipping
Q: Where do you ship to?
A: We ship custom hats across the U.S. and internationally (where available). Shipping rates and times vary by destination. Additional duties or taxes may apply for international orders.
Q: Can I change my order once it’s placed?
A: If you need to make changes, contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate changes before your order goes into production.
